Project Driscoll Bridge Widening - South Bound Structure spanning the Raritan River

Location Borough of Sayreville, Middlesex County, New Jersey
Description Construction of a new eight lane bridge including 28 piers, some over 100 feet tall, and a bridge deck spanning the Raritan River.  Over 4,400 tons of galvanized and stainless steel was used to construct this project.

Description Over 2,900 tons of rebar was installed for the deck replacement for the two bridges spanning the Raritan River.

Description Project includes the reconstruction of the Westbound entrance to Route 280 from the Garden State Parkway.  Over 275 tons of reinforcing steel was installed in the 600 lineal foot, five span bridge.  The piers were supported on 6 foot diameter reinforced caissons.
